So, where do you think I spent last week-end? Yup, I went back to the Babylon Centrum in Liberec. Because it’s fun. And it’s close. And I realized there are plenty of things I still didn’t really show you there.

Alors, où croyez-vous que je suis allé le week-end dernier? Ouaip, je suis retourné au Centre Babylon à Liberec. Parce que c’est marrant. Et c’est pas loin. Et je me suis rendu compte qu’il y a plein de trucs que je vous ai pas montrés.

IQ Park

First, we started again with the IQ Park. Because even when you know it already, it’s still fun to play with water…

D’abord, on a recommencé avec l’IQ Park. Parce que même quand on connaît déjà, c’est toujours amusant de jouer avec de l’eau…

There was this thing, also, to test your balance. You have to stand on this thing without touching on either the left or the right side, for as long as you can.

Il y avait aussi ce bidule, pour tester votre équilibre. Il faut rester debout sur le machin sans toucher ni à gauche ni à droite, aussi longtemps que possible.

Eating / Manger

You can easily spend the morning there. After which you will probably want to grab some food. If you’re ok with Junk food, it’s pretty easy to grab a hot dog or some kind of snack.

On peut facilement y passer la matinée. Après quoi vous aurez sûrement un petit creux. Si les fast food ça vous va, vous trouverez facilement un hot dog ou autre cochonnerie.

But if you want something better, then the choice of restaurants inside the complex is pretty limited. There are maybe 5 or 6 restaurants in the Centrum Babylon, but only two are open for lunch, the others only open in the evening. We decided to give a try to the “traditional Czech Cuisine” of Staročeská Rychta.

Mais si vous cherchez un truc un peu plus consistant, alors le choix de restaurants dans le complexe est plutôt limité. Il y a peut-être 5 ou 6 restaurants dans le Centrum Babylon, mais seulement deux sont ouverts le midi, le reste n’ouvrant que le soir. On a décidé de donner sa chance à la “cuisine traditionnelle tchèque” du Staročeská Rychta.

Lunapark

I mentioned it before, there’s a Lunapark inside the Babylon Complex. Come on in!

but also pretty old. One can see from the headless clown that… well… it probably used to be nicer than this.

Mais c’est aussi pas mal vieux. On le voit au clown décapité que… ben… c’était probablement mieux avant.

Every time we come there’s something broken. A ride, an attraction… Always something. Luckily, the carousel hasn’t failed us yet.

Chaque fois que l’on vient, il y a un truc cassé. Un manège, une attraction… Toujours un truc. Heureusement, le caroussel ne nous a pas encore fait faux-bond.

There are things for all ages, even a nursery where you can arrange to drop off your kids (probably to go enjoy other parts of the complex, like the Casino, maybe?) for the day.

Il y a des trucs pour tous les âges, même une garderie où vous pouvez vous arranger pour déposer les mioches (sûrement pour pouvoir profiter d’autres parties du complexe, genre le casino, peut-être?) pour la journée.

Before Leaving / Avant de partir

Chances are that before the end of the day, you’ll be tired just from watching all those kids jumping around, screaming, running, laughing, playing… So before you go, make a stop at the Královská zahrada,
