Killing the Kidnapping Industry / Ruiner l’industrie du kidnapping

After Ball’s Falls, and some other falls where I couldn’t take pictures worth showing here, we went all the way to Niagara on the Lake. Small town, with a very kitch aspect… There is almost only one street, there, with many shops having a 19th, early 20th century style.

Après les Ball’s Falls, et quelques autres chutes dont je n’ai pu prendre de photo assez bien pour les montrer ici, nous sommes allés à Niagara on the Lake. Petite ville, assez kitsch… Il n’y a quasiment qu’une seule rue, avec beaucoup de boutiques ayant un style 19è, début 20è.

When looking for food, we were confronted with approximately two choices… The Prince of Wales, and The Buttery.

En quête de nourriture, nous nous vîmes confrontés à environ deux choix… Le Prince of Wales, et le Buttery.

Well, let me tell you that one of them was waaaaay out of our budget. So we chose the Buttery, which had a very nice setting, probably some live music in the evenings as well, so I’d recommend it if you’re visiting Niagara on the Lake :). As Thom is on another level than me, in terms of photography, we proceeded to put his tripod and other things in the trunk of our way too big car.

Ben laissez-moi vous dire que l’un d’entre eux était laaaargement hors-budget. Donc nous avons opté pour la Buttery, qui avait une déco très sympa, sûrement de la musique live le soir aussi, donc je le recommande si vous visitez Niagara on the Lake :). Vu que Thom joue pas dans la même cour que moi, niveau photo, nous avons donc rangé son trépied et autres bouts de matos dans le coffre de notre voiture carrément trop grande.

And this is when I realized that this car maker was killing the kidnapping industry. Seriously.

Et c’est là que j’ai réalisé que cette voiture était en train de ruiner l’industrie du kidnapping. Sans déconner.

That’s right! There is an emergency handle for you to use if you are trapped inside the trunk! As Thom said in the flickr comments, “mwah ah ah, that’s too funny, those guys watched one too many movies, seriously…” ;). At least, you know that if mafiosi use this car for business, nobody enters their trunk alive… spooky.

Ouaip! Il y a une poignée de secours si vous êtes coincé dans le coffre! Comme le dit Thom dans les commentaires sur flickr, “Ahah, trop drôle, ils ont trop vu de film, sérieux …”. Au moins, vous savez que si des mafiosi utilisent cette voiture pour des raisons professionnelles, personne ne va dans le coffre vivant… ça fout les jetons.
